I study costume design at Unitec learning how to make historical period clothing and the processes that are involved in dressing for film theatre and dance. At the moment I am making fake blood and sewing 1950’s blouses.

WHAT IS THE STRANGEST JOB YOU HAVE HAD TO WORK ON?

For my world war one project I made a prosthetic leg for my female mechanic who lost hers getting crushed under a truck.

TELL US ABOUT WHAT YOU DO?

Well I’m currently studying costume design at Unitec, which is pretty great. Where I get to work on an array of projects from millinery and corsetrie to screen printing, pattern making and design. In my spare time I do as much fashion styling work as I can squeeze in. I find learning about garment construction really helps to inform my styling work.
