TELL US ABOUT WHAT YOU DO
At the moment I am completing my training to become a Clinical Neuropsychologist. My particular area of psychology deals with brain function, and how this can impact on thinking, behaviour and mood. These days I spend most of my time studying and on placement, but to relax I like to contrast all the heavy stuff with lots of cooking, sewing and hanging with friends. My mum taught me to sew, and I really enjoy making my own clothes. Usually I scour markets for old fabrics with interesting textures or prints, and from there I decide how the fabric will be used. I have a large collection of patterns from the 1950s and 1960s, and I tend to use these as a first port of call. They give me ideas about the style of garment that would best suit the fabric, and from there I often modify them for fit and to update the style for my own use.
