TELL US ABOUT WHAT YOU DO.
I spend most of my days making paintings in my studio in Alexandria, Sydney. I spend most of my other days in the Northern Rivers, NSW (Where I grew up).
WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO CREATE?
Thought, thinking, considering, imagining, questioning, associating, looking, seeing, remembering, forgetting
YOU HAVE DONE A FEW RESIDENCY'S ARUND THE WORLS, WHAT DO YOU ENJOY ABOUT BEING IN DIFFERENT PLACES?
I enjoy the way travelling challenges and inspires your understanding of the world and gives you an insight into an alternative everyday. It’s overwhelmingly inspiring to be in a different place; meet new people and gain an insight into how they spend their days.
In Mid 2014 I undertook a residency in Reykjavik, Iceland. What a truly wonderful place!
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON CURRENTLY?
I am currently working in a body of paintings that question inside and outside spaces. These works use an abstraction of landscape and suggestive architectural motifs to question everyday distinctions and associations. They will become part of a show later in the year.
