It all started because I with me designing clothes for myself. I was in and out of sewing classes all high school, creating and designing new pieces. I started working for Topshop at a young age and then moved out to LA where I starting picking up different projects here and there.

Where do you find inspiration?

Tell us about what you do?

I work two office jobs in the film industry and I also play keys and sing in The Paranoyds!

What or who is influencing you right now in L.A?

I think it's hard not to find LA very influential and inspiring! It's so picturesque and chill which makes it easy to be outside and active! Especially in the summer, there's so many fun things to do and so much going on. LA is full of really creative people and what's most inspiring for me are all the local LA bands. They all contribute something original to their sound, and work entirely from the ground up by being very DIY.

What are you up to?

I'm at NYU Paris studying Global Liberal Studies: Contemporary Culture and Creative Production. I'm focusing on conceptual and documentary film. Right now, I'm working on a series critique of modern pornography that's actually more hilarious than poignant, which I think speaks to the problem.

What inspires you?

I'm inspired by aspects of the world that make me want to rip off all of my skin and crawl into a dark crevasse, so instead I make art. Also, my friends are so ridiculously active, everyone's creating, so it's hard not to get inspired by their antics.

What's your background and where do you call home?

My dad is Israeli and my mum is Australian. I grew up in Sydney and call it home, for now.

What do you do and why?

I do lots of things - it's kind of controlled chaos. Although my background is in Visual Communication I’ve always been very research focused. At the moment I split my week between a few things. Monday through Wednesday is spent as a design strategist at Deloitte Consulting in a new team called Design, Visualisation and Storytelling. The job involves using human centred design to help bring about positive change across a spectrum of government and private sector organisations. A project I recently worked on at Deloitte was helping one of big banks become more socially responsible by implementing a charity and disaster relief functionality on their app with the goal to funnel more cash to non-for-profits. The remaining days of the week are spent in a tiny studio in Marrickville chipping away on collaborative projects. Elin Andersson and I have just launched a podcast about gender and perception called Private Parts. We decided to branch out into audio as we noticed a distinct lack of Australian voices on this topic in the podcasting world. I think what ties all the projects together is the approach – collaborative and research-based. I like traversing different worlds, applying the same approach and disposition to the corporate world as a small independent project.
