Tell us about your involvement with the fashion industry?
I started out working for a girls clothing company called Brandy Melville in 2011. I could write a memoir about it, but in short, it was amazing. I worked as a buyer, designer and stylist and travelled to China and Italy very frequently. The experience I had there was beyond unreal. I learned a ridiculous amount and four years later, I decided to venture off and start a new project with my best friend. We are starting a brand called Civil Rags, selling timeless recycled pieces online. Each day, our vision grows.
Where do you find inspiration?
I find most of my inspiration from timeless recycled pieces. There is nothing I love more than digging through piles and racks of old clothes. Finding a piece that transcends time and ever-changing trends is what really gets me good.
