What are some projects that you have been working on recently?
When I get time between the insanity of my school projects I am mostly working on gig/event flyers or merch for bands. I'm always making posters for my own DJ events that I hold monthly. These are great because I get to be my own client and make whatever I like! I am also in the process of illustrating my own set of tarot cards which has been super fun!
Where do you find inspiration?
I am hugely inspired by the history of art and design in music, from album sleeves to psychedelic posters. I also love handmade typography, fabric patterns, matchbox prints and vintage advertisements which I'll collect from old books and magazines to find images to use or reference in my work or I'll just butcher them for collages! Woodblock, letterpress and silkscreen printmaking techniques always tend to inform my designs as well as the more lowbrow, cut 'n' paste, photocopied applications used in punk flyers. There are too many great artists and design studios that influence me to name but among my favorites are; Alex Steinweiss, Barney Bubbles, Hatch Show Print, Heretic, Julian House, Milton Glaser, Mushroom Necklace, Oz Magazine, Tadanori Yokoo & Victor Mosoco.
